In 1997, he was named a University Docent in Geodesy by the Turkish Interuniversity Committee. He developed an Analytical Surface Deformation Theory, which was published in a book in 1999 and later translated from English into Chinese. Since 1989, he has worked in the Geodesy Division of the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Mainly interested in geodetic study of the earth’s crust movements using GNSS data.

Alexander M. Krot is a Head of the Laboratory of Self-Organization System Modeling at the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. He graduated from the Belarusian State University, Department of Radiophysics in 1982. He received PhD in 1985, then degree of Doctor of Sciences (DSc) in 1991 and Professor degree in 1997. He has published 275 scientific works including 3 monographs and more than 60 articles in refereed journals.

Space physics and its different flavours have been my passion for my entire career. Curiosity to learn and understand combined to the ambition for teaching has driven me to work around the world from finnish universities and research institutes to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Bergen University and the world´s most northern university UNIS in Svalbard. I have a PhD degree, teacher´s qualification and long-term expertise with 60+ peer-reviewed publications on the topics related to the magnetism, Sun-Earth coupling, space and ground instrument development and auroral substorms. Magnetic environment monitoring in different time-scales from seconds to solar cycles is important for securing high-tech society and its main functions including energy, heat and electricity supply, aviation, navigation and telecommunication.

My main scientific expertise areas include detecting magnetic signals from terrestrial and extraterrestrial sources, space weather and space climate, instrument and sensing system building for observing magnetic activity and induction at the Earth, and examination of magnetic disturbances and their sources in various environments. My main teaching methods are “teaching by curiosity” and “teaching by doing” and I am continuously seeking for possibilities to organize field works, workshops and other hands-on-activities for students.

Marek Tulej has completed his PhD from Basel University, Switzerland in 1999 and habilitation (Venia Docendi) in 2010 from Basel University (Physical Chemistry) and Bern University (Space Research). He is a head of Laser Mass Spectrometry Lab, a lecturer in Physics Institute, University Bern and serve as a staff member of Planetary Sciences and Space Research Division. He is involved in the development of a miniature analytical instruments for space missions (NGMS instrument for the Moon (Luna Glob, Luna Resurs) and NIM instrument for the Jupiter satellites (JUICE)). Currently, he i salso a Science Group Member for these missions. Marek has published nearly 100 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member, journal, proposal and PhD thesis reviewer).

Ryspek Usubamatov has completed his graduation as Professional Engineer, PhD from Bauman Moscow State Technical University and Doctor of Technical Sciences from Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan. He has worked as an Engineer-Designer of machine tools at engineering company. He is a Professor at Kyrgyz State Technical University and worked at universities in Malaysia. He has published more than 300 papers in reputed journals, more than 60 patents of inventions in engineering and seven books in area of manufacturing engineering. His research interests include gyroscope theory and productivity theory for industrial engineering.

Prof. Vladislav Demyanov, Dr. of Science in Engineering, has actually been working as a full professor of Irkutsk State Transport University since November, 2009. Besides Prof. Demyanov has been working as a senior researcher of Institute of Solar and Terrestrial Physics (Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science) since 2000. He has published 3 books/monographs and 17 peer-reviewed publications between 2009 and 2016 (14 of them are first-authored) with Citations in Web of Science and Scopus: 48, h-index (Kirsch-index) = 8 (Russian RINC) / h-index = 7 (Scopus). Dr. Gordon Huang is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Energy and Environment, and Executive Director of the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities at the University of Regina, Canada. He holds BSC from Peking University (China), MSc from Simon Fraser University (Canada) and PhD from McMaster University (Canada). Since the 1990s, Huang has led over 150 environment-related research projects, produced over 900 peer-refereed international journal papers (with an SCI-based H-index of 60 in Science Citation Index under Thomson Reuters' Web of Science), and supervised over 100 Master/PhD students. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and the President of the International Society for Environmental Information Sciences. Currently, Professor Srivastava holds the position of a professor emeritus in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Victoria in Canada. Nicolas H Younan is currently the Department Head and James worth Bagley Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University (MSU). Joseph Seckbach is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Cellular Origins, Life in Extreme Habitats and Astrobiology Seroes. Later, he was appointed to the Hebrew University and spent sabbaticals at UCLA and Harvard. During 1997-98, he served at LSU, Baton Rouge, as the first selected Chair for the Louisiana Sea Grant. Bo Huang is a Professor in the Department of Geography and Resource Management, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he is also the Associate Director of Institute of Space and Earth Information Science and the Director of MSc Program in GeoInformation Science. He received Changjiang Scholar Chair Professorship, the highest academic award issued to an individual in higher education by the Ministry of Education of PR China. Dr. Huang’s research interest focuses on geographical information science and he has published extensively in this field, including over 100 refereed international journal articles. He currently serves as the Asia-Pacific Editor of International Journal of Geographical Information Science (Taylor & Francis). Zakaria Hamimi is a structural geologist spent the majority of his academic careerer at Benha University (Egypt) along with some years at Sana’a University (Yemen,) and King Abdulaziz University (Saudi Arabia). He has graduated (1984) from Assiut University (distinction with honor degree), and holds the M.Sc. (1988) from Zagazig University (Egypt) and the Ph.D. in Structural Geology and Tectonics (1992) from Cairo University. His research interests focus on Structural Geology, Microstructures and Tectonics. He has worked in many field-related sub-disciplines of Earth Sciences including geologic mapping, microstructural analysis, strain analysis, paleostress reconstruction, active tectonics, tectonic geomorphology, crustal deformation and image processing. He used all these fields to study key areas in the Arabian-Nubian Shield, and to decipher their deformation history. Zakaria Hamimi is the president, and one of the founding team, of the Arabian Geosciences Union since 2012. He has received the medal of the Egyptian Geological Society of Egypt in 2015, and also the medal of the Arab Mining and Petroleum Association in 2016. He has co-published 50 research articles in national and international indexed and refereed journals and authored several books. In 2016, Zakaria Hamimi (1) joined the AJGS as Associate Editor responsible for evaluating submissions in the fields of Structural Geology, Microstructures and Tectonics, (2) selected as a Member of the Egyptian Universities Promotion Committee, the Supreme Council for Universities (SCU, Egypt), (3) nominated as a Secretary of the National Committee for Geological Sciences, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and (4) designated as the IUGS-Representative for Egypt.

He is PhD in astrophysics and stellar physics. His main fields of research are related to applications of satellites in applied and fundamental research, space and solar terrestrial physics, design and development of optical and spectral equipment for photographic registration in different regions of the spectrum. Dr. Shopov is supervisor of the Master programme on Aerospace engineering (small satellites) and co-supervisor of the Master programme on Space research of Sofia University.

Ali Cheknane is a full-Professor at the Amar Telidji University of Laghouat-Algeria. He has completed his PhD in physics. He is having 20 years teaching graduate and post-graduate teaching experience at the university as temporary, associated and permanent position. He has published many papers in various journals and conference proceedings on renewable energy subjects. He has supervised 10 PhD students (04 theses have been defended) and 14 Master students' projects (Magister). He has supervised more than 40 projects (Engineer and Technician) in electrical engineering and computing. He got an incentive award from “Centre de Development des Energies Renouvelables- CDER”. He was awarded for the best publication in physics in Algeria from the ANDRU agency in 2008. He is the Head of the research team: “Photovoltaic Systems & Devices”. Dr. Ramanan Joined Indian Space Research organization in 1984 and since then working in space flight mechnics area. He recieived his Ph.D from University of Kerala , Thiruvananthpuram, India for his thesis ‘Lunar Transfer Trajectories’. He made significant contributions to Chandrayaan-1 , Moon Impact Probe missions and the Mars Orbiter mission in the mission design and planning area. Currently , he is member of a study team for exploring future Indian deep space missions. He has about twenty publications in international reputed journals and about 40 papers in international and national conferences. He has given invited talks and lectures in many conferences/institutions/ organizations. He Joined Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, an educational institution under Department of Space, in 2010 and since then working as adjunct professor in Department of aerospace Engineering.
